Changes in the MAS Team
Leavers, Joiners and a Recruitment Drive
by Gary

Kate Freeman, our longest serving member of staff has now left MAS to pursue a career in teaching. Kate has been with us since we opened the Worcester office in 2001 and has been a key and stalwart member of the team, in fact, for all things GoldMine , I have for years asked Kate’s advice. Kate has been instrumental in helping us provide the level of service and technical support and as many of you will know, has developed a wide array of technical skills reducing the demand on the likes of Mark, Kerry and Guy for many of the applications.

"I would like to say a great big thank you to everyone I have dealt with over the last 11 years, I am sorry that i wasn't able to contact everyone personally to say goodbye, but whilst it is sad to be leaving MAS after all this time, the challenge of teaching and this opportunty is the fulfilment of a long held ambition!"

In fact, in terms of GoldMine knowledge, I suspect she is now an expert. So, it is tinged with sadness that after almost 12 years, Kate moves on.  However, it is also with our support since she has realised a dream of becoming a teacher and with her move to Bognor Regis earlier this Summer, this has enabled her to spend a day a week as a Teaching Assistant and now the school has given here a full time role.

Kate has due to this commitment not been able to say goodbye to everyone over the last few weeks as during August she had moved to fewer days, so there were higher demands on her time helping me out on a number of different projects. As I said to Kate, she will be a hard act to follow and I am sure will be sorely missed in the coming months.

Meanwhile, whilst Kate has left, we have welcomed back Beth McLeish from her ‘sabbatical’ as I call it working with another IT organisation. Clearly the lure of CRM is too strong and Beth re-joined us on 1st May as Senior Account Manager. Beth will also be in charge of the office administration as well as acting as a fulcrum for allocation of support tasks. Beth has already done her first 5 year term and is now looking to serve another 5 years or more….mmmm a joke there I think!

"Mmmm is right, now I am back from my sabbatical!, it is so nice to have received such a warm welcome back from so many of my clients and also from the new clients MAS have acquired over the missing months!  I am relishing the challenge and am so glad to be back in an exciting and rapidly changing marketplace such as CRM"

With these changes now in place, in early September, we also started to recruit for a new Sales Executive//Account Manager. The advert is now live on our LinkedIn Company page under 'Careers'.  We are looking to appoint someone soon and interviews are due in the next week and I am hoping that we will have an announcement soon. The advert has been placed locally and we are also working with agencies here as well to find suitable candidates.
