ACT! v17 and ACT! Cloud
ACT! version 17 - Launches 23rd October

ACT! version 17 and ACT! Cloud You may have seen the recent press, but Swiftpage, owners of ACT! have now sold off to Infor, the Sales Logix mid-market CRM product, this means that their total commitment is now to the SME brand ACT! so this has just been reinforced and great plans are expected over the coming months. The first of which is the launch of ACT! v17 on 23rd October with strong addtional capabilities and the initial launch for smaller single users of the ACT! Cloud Web as a subscription product. In my view this is their first generation cloud product, but shows that Swiftpage, the owners who remember are a cloud based email marketing company are now rapidly moving ACT! towards having a stronger Cloud, SaaS (software as a service) basis after less than 18 months owning the brand. So, what are the key points in this new release of ACT! v17 - Enhanced E-Marketing, including Team access, Lead Capture and Nurturing, and new Smart Task options.
- Discover the new, modern look of Act!, and easily access resources, tools, and a variety of apps that help you get more out of your solution.
- Productivity enhancements such as new Outlook® sync options, integration with popular business tools, and more Smart Task options help you save time and stay organised.
- New streamlined configuration and access options give you faster access to support, easier onboarding, and peace of mind – making deployment a breeze!
More details are available in a download from our special ACT! v17 web page We are running later this month (after 23rd October) a Webinar on ACT! v17 'What's New" so if you are looking for a "Show and Tell", then sign up to our free ACT! v17 webinar on the last Friday of the month...sign up here
ACT! Cloud
This was launched on 18th September, aimed at the US market, but is focussed, certainly for the rest of this year at the Single User or Start-up business market.
ACT! Cloud targets users are around 1-5 users per company and the product has a simpler level of functionality as you would expect from initial launch as well as having a different 'look and feel' to your existing ACT! system. You won't be able to share between the two systems.
We don't really expect many existing clients will be interested, since you have already invested in your software and this would mean moving to a monthly subscription of around £7 per user per month for a new and different product, hence our expectation is that this offering will be for new clients only interested in a low cost of entry CRM Cloud offering.
If you are interested in finding out more, then please drop us a line or visit the ACT! for Cloud Web page
Again, in late October, we wil be running a 40 minute webinar on this product, so sign up here if you are interested.
