MAS are pleased to announce that after a year of using  many of you will have seen recent updates from our ConstantContact account; we are now an approved Solution Provider for Constant Contact.

If you recall, in September 2013, coincidentally, GoldMine Premium 2013 announced their own integration with ConstantContact.  This means that MAS are able to help with both training and also support in developing your own templates, although there are around 40 existing templates in the system.

Anyone who has used an Email marketing system before will find Constant Contact easy to use.and the integration with GoldMine Premium Edition 2013, and now for GoldMine Premium 2014.1 which can be set up by ourselves or yourselves.

To conduct a trial, then please register your interest to give us the capability to work with you and this will ensure we are able to log-in and support you through our own (no cost to you) administration rights, saving you time on any support calls.

For Constant Contact, similar to other systems, there are effectively eight simple steps to doing an campaign.  As a rule of thumb, when doing email marketing we always recommend using a quiet room to enable you have a clear focus.  After all, you don't want to accidentally send out your email to thousands of clients/prospects before its ready!

So, what are these steps:-

  1. Draft your copy in our view in Word first with paragraph etc with clear calls to action. Print this off and read as it simply and easier to ensure it reads well.
  2. Select or design your Email template for that mailing
  3. "Cut and paste" your copy from Word into the relevant sections of the template.  Adjust and Read paragraphs, fonts etc.
  4. The Nice bit! If you have not done before, now you can choose and load your additional graphics/pictures to support your copy together with adding in any links to email or websites for example.  Be diligent here, this can maximise your impact and have clear ‘calls to action’ if needed.
  5. Send a Test email to other internal users and get feedback. Ensure they test all the links for you.  You should have tested these yourself, but this is a good support action.
  6. Add in your selected Group to choose your Target List or Group.  This may involve importing of data, again pretty easy in Constant Contact.  Here you may consider an AB Test, if you are looking to first send to a small test group if this will be large emailing for example.
  7. Send your Email.  Often it is best to send mid week, ideally after the peak times of the day for maximum readership.
  8. Measure your Results, then adjust or resend to another group and take action where this has been requested.  Ensure Users follow up requests.

This may seem like a lot of steps, but actually is pretty straight forward in practice.  As always, the hardest thing is drafting your content.

MAS can take you through now how this can be used but it also helping you to design templates and just manage the system to maximise your e-mail marketing attention.
